The track is a mature section of woodland that was perviosly used in the the XC NPS in 2019. It consistes of Double track & single track corridors. The surface is well packed for most with roots and rolling drops featuring alot. Newly constructed bridges and old sections of the course will bring the glen to life.
The track is approx 4KM long and taking 15-23 mins to lap. Depending on the weather on race day, Some parts of this track may become more technical . It features a 2 drops with a B-lines, A low hanging tree, possible dip in the dunk, 3 Bridge crossings
The elevation gain is approx 140 Mts
This is a “Trash Free” event so please bring your trash home with you and be mindfull to other forest users.

We have set up tickets for leisure licence and no licence holders. Tickets for leisure licence holders and non licence holders it will automatically add €10 and €20 respectively to the entry fee to cover the one day licence. We have also introduced a Challanger catogory, a “give it a go” for anyone who might to try there luck with a lap.
The seeding/gridding for each race will determined on a first come/first served basis based on ticket sales and the final report generated by eventmaster after sales have closed.
Tickets will be available on the morning up to 11.00 am.
Timing will be done the MBCC’s own SportIdent Chip timing. Every competitor, will collect a Chip from registration 20 mins before the call up time as well as their Race number and tie’s.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to 1st 2nd and 3rd at the various prize giving ceremonies.
The venue will be open from 8:30 am on Sunday 9th July 2023.
Note: There is no practice allowed on any other day before the race.

Ensure bicycles are in good working order and that bar-ends have been fitted.
No electric bikes or motorised bicycles permitted.
No cyclo-cross bicycles permitted.
The Order of Malta will provide us with any assistance need on the day by the way of paramedics and an ambulance.
Car parking: We have secured parking for patrons at a cost of €3.00 per vechile. Coins only. Follow instructions from marshals.
Toilets: Portable toilets will be on site.
Bike wash: No
Catering: the very best burgers from Alex and crew at BadAss BBQ will be there.
Gazebos: Are welcome close to the race village.
