I’m under 18yrs of age, Does this matter?

We welcome younger members into the club, this is the future of the club after all! If you are under 18 yrs of age however, you must be be accompanied by a guardian/parent who must also join our club and participate in every spin with their minor. This is in line with our youth safe guarding policy. We have more info on that HERE

How?

When you submit your info in the form below,  you will be added to a mailing list for the intro ride. This is a great way to meet others like yourself joining for the first time and making friends for life!

Where?

This intro ride normally consists of a few laps of our home woodland south of carrigaline. its a well maintained circuit and includes climbs, descents and of a grade green route (no jumps or drops) and we should be completed in about 1 hour.

Alternatively, we may head to the trails in Ballyhoura depending on numbers etc.

When?

We aim to host this intro ride on a Saturday/Sunday a few times in the year (you’ll be given plenty of notice when we are about to take out a new group).

This ride caters for potential new members looking to join our amazing club, as well as existing members who would like to rejoin. It is always a very well ‘green’ pace ride and with terrain to suit the grading.

If your unable to attend an intro ride please contact the membership sectary who may be able to advise an alternative ride you could join to see what our club is about.

To attend the ride you must bring:

  • Helmet (mandatory);
  • Gloves (mandatory);
  • A well maintained hard tail/full suspension mountain bike;
  • Pump, spare tube,
  • Drink (mandatory);
  • Elbow/ knee pads (advisable);
  • Energy food (advisable);
  • Waterproof shell (advisable).

What happens after the ride?

You’ll be invited to join the club and also join cycling Ireland. (our official governing body in Ireland) This is a mandatory requirement.

*The club has an upper limit on the amount of members it can facilitate in a given year. after this is reached, a waiting list is populated on a first come-first served basis, which  is renewed annually with priority given to existing members.
ID will be needed when it comes to purchasing membership. You will need a gaurdian /parent to make your application for membership on your behalf.
